Magic The Gathering Tarot Draw! You Know You Want To!
The Magic: The Gathering Tarot is once again open for business! Want to know your fortune for the New Year? Why not have it told with gaming cards?

You might remember this from the last time.  I am offering a three-card draw of Magic cards, available to anyone who comments below. The draw comes from my stock of (50,000+) Magic cards that I sell online. You may choose the edition or expansion set your would like me to draw from, otherwise I will determine that at random. Because the cards available are from my selling stock, there is a reasonably "natural" distribution. So common cards will be drawn a lot more frequently than rares, and there should be an approximately even distribution of colors.

For this special New Year's edition, I will be doing something slightly different from the past/present/future draws I've previously done. I will draw three cards to represent your prospects for 2010 in the areas of:
    • Health, home, & family
    • Employment, finances, business, & creative endeavors
    • Love & romance
Your reading will be posted in a separate entry on this journal I'm usually fairly quick about getting these online, so check back a day or two after you comment and you should see your reading. If you didn't have a go at this last time, you can see some examples of readings here.

This offer ends at midnight (my time) New Year's eve. So comment if you would like to see what the (Magic) cards hold for you!

Disclaimer: I have no psychic abilities of any kind.

    Conversations with the Husband
"Soon, I can take a break. Only 2000 words left."

"Good for you, honey. But, you need to take that break. Seriously."

"I know. There's a light at the end of the tunnel but it's taking too long to get here."

"That means it's probably not an oncoming train."

... "You're totally right. I need to remember that."

Deadlines… Or is that Dead Lines?
Yesterday, I received a holiday gift from a friend. Having had a difficult night at ECC, I decided to open it immediately. It was the coolest mug, coaster and mouse pad all in the same pattern with "Deadlines Amuse Me."

You want to know what my first thought was? "Aww, they know I appreciate such morbid things."

It took me about five minutes to understand that what I thought the gift meant was completely different than what it actually meant.

You see, any normal person would laugh because they know I'm a writer and I'm constantly under the gun to get things in on time. Hence, "Deadlines Amuse Me."

But you want to know what I actually thought at first blush? "Dead Lines Amuse Me" where "dead lines" = outlines of bodies on sidewalks and autopsy stitches.

No. I'm not kidding. This is just how I frequently think. It's my "Jenn Filter" or my "Gilded Light."

The Edge of Propinquity - Volume 48

    Volume 48: December 2009

Welcome to the Edge of Propinquity. Volume 48 is now published. The death of the year brings with it both pain and the promise of a new beginning. This month we have an awakening to an old purpose, the death of revenge, the cycle of love and death repeated and the end of a long struggle for control. This concludes the 2009 year for the Edge of Propinquity. We will return again in 2010 with new Universe authors, new universe stories and, of course, our monthly guest author. Thank you for reading.

Luminations - How It Ends by Rick Silva AKA [info]shaharazad
Solstice - Autumn, Part Three by Ivan Ewert AKA [info]ivan23
Danyael - Revelation by Nick Bergeron
Guest Author - The Letter by Michael Jarrette-Kenny

Have you ever looked over the edge and seen something looking back at you?

    Sincerely,
    Jennifer Brozek

You know something is out of whack when...
... you find yourself mentally quoting Big Trouble in Little China as you open your morning's frappuccino.

"It's OK. I took something. I can see things no one else can see. I can do things no one else can do. ... Why are you wearing that?"

"I-I was getting married. He was marrying because... I have... green eyes... too. Oh, God, is this really happening?"

In other news, I wrote 6200 words yesterday and edited about 20,000. My RPG book for Savage Mojo, Shanghai Vampocalypse, is done and is on the editor's desk (except for edits).
